Frontier is one of the worldwide games industry's leading independent developers. We have built upon the work of our founder David Braben, co-author of the seminal "Elite".

Our track record comprises games that have defined genres, been critically acclaimed and sold many millions of copies (see Our Games for full details), but our best is yet to come.
Our ethos is continuous improvement – we are "only as good as our last game" and strive to always improve every aspect of our performance. We foster a friendly, open, professional working environment where all are encouraged to share their ideas. We are very keen to develop all our people’s potential to the full. We hold annual performance / career reviews and ongoing training, and promote from within.
Our development path includes both industry standard and state-of-the-art in-house tools and technology. Our technology has been carefully planned, developed and evolved since 1993 and allows us to efficiently exploit the power of the platforms we work with to deliver industry-leading gameplay innovations, as well as true multi-platform development.
We are an independent developer, so we license our games via a number of top publishers with whom we develop long term relationships.
We are currently around 170 individuals, and are expanding in all areas as we ramp up to deliver our existing set of projects and kick off new ones.
Current titles
We are currently developing a strong mix of original games spanning different formats & genres, all based on our cutting edge in-house ‘engine’ technology & tools, for consoles such as Wii, PS3, Xbox360 and PC.
The Thrillville franchise
Published by LucasArts, Thrillville was the best-selling original kids game in the USA in 2006, and it mixes the best arcade genres with a sophisticated management sim and socialization elements to deliver a fresh, compelling, fun experience based around a theme-park setting.
The Outsider
An advanced XBox360, PS3 and PC action thriller aimed firmly at the core gamer audience. Packed full of innovation, we intend that this game will change the games industry.
