Frontier Unlocked – November 2024 | Planet Coaster 2, Planet Zoo: Console Edition, Elite Dangerous
In November’s episode of Frontier Unlocked, which took place on Wednesday 27 November, hosts Arthur Tolmie and Chantal Williams brought viewers a look at the first update arriving for Planet Coaster 2, alongside gameplay from the latest DLC bundle arriving for Planet Zoo: Console Edition players, and Elite Dangerous news on the fourth new ship of the year, the Cobra Mk V!

Planet Coaster 2
Game Director Rich Newbold and Senior Executive Producer Adam Woods returned to the sofas for a first look at a host of additions and enhancements in the next update, which will be arriving for Planet Coaster 2 players on Thursday 12th December. These include highly requested changes to the UI, separate loading and unloading stations, glass scenery pieces and more!
The dynamic duo also revealed that fireworks will be lighting up the night’s sky as part of this update, providing mesmerising displays for park guests.

Planet Zoo
With the Arctic & Conservation Bundle arriving for Planet Zoo: Console Edition on Tuesday 3rd December. The team took a closer look at some of the 9 incredible animals in action, including the powerful Polar bear and the stocky Przewalski’s horse. Alongside these iconic animals, zookeepers can transform their zoos into winter wonderlands or conservation havens thanks to over 350 scenery pieces and test their skills in 3 epic scenarios.
The Arctic Pack and Conservation Pack will each be available separately for an SRP of £7.99/$9.99/€9.99, or as a bundle for the discounted price of £11.99/$14.99/€14.99.

Elite Dangerous
Arthur and Zac strapped in to showcase the latest look at the Cobra Mk V, which will release on Tuesday 10th December for ARX Early Access. The Cobra Mk V is a jack-of-all-trades ship that gives the perfect platform for any Commander, new or experienced to try out everything Elite Dangerous has to offer.
Senior Director of Projects Piers Jackson then stopped by to talk all things System Colonisation – the next major update coming to Elite Dangerous. System Colonisation will allow players to expand the bubble of humanity throughout the massive galaxy of Elite Dangerous. Players may choose to band together to create new corners of civilisation, or blaze their own trail into the black towards their favourite star system.
