Frontier Unlocked – December 2024 | Planet Coaster 2, Planet Zoo: Console Edition, Elite Dangerous
In a special December episode hosted on Wednesday 18 December, Frontier Unlocked became Frontier Unwrapped as hosts Arthur Tolmie and Chantal Williams brought players some festive cheer alongside the latest news on Frontier’s latest releases. The stream kicked off with a look back at Planet Coaster 2’s Update 1, before revealing that the next content bundle coming to Planet Zoo: Console Edition will be the Australia and South America bundle on 27 January, before rounding the show out with the Elite Dangerous team answering some community questions on the upcoming System Colonisation update.

Planet Coaster 2
Game Director Rich Newbold joined Arthur for a recap of 2024 in Planet Coaster 2, alongside a look back at the recently released first feature update for the game, which included highly requested changes to the UI, separate loading and unloading stations, glass scenery pieces, fireworks and more!
Rich also brought an early work-in-progress look at some of the future changes coming to flume behaviours in Planet Coaster 2, including raft deformation.

Planet Zoo

Elite Dangerous
Product Manager Zac Cocken once again joined Arthur to reflect on a stellar 2024 for Elite Dangerous, which has brought four new ships, enhancements to engineering, Powerplay 2.0 and of course the thrilling battles against the Thargoid Titans.
As Elite Dangerous celebrates 10 years of storytelling, Commanders can hear from some of the figures behind the game in a 20 minute mini-documentary, which recaps the many memories created so far.
Zac and Arthur also tackled some community questions around the upcoming System Colonisation update, which will allow players to make their mark of the galaxy in new ways and expand the bubble of humanity throughout a living galaxy.
