Frontier Unlocked – February 2025 | Planet Coaster 2, Elite Dangerous, F1 Manager 2024
Frontier Unlocked returned with a bang for the first time in 2025 on Wednesday 26th February, packed to the brim with news, content and reveals! From Planet Coaster 2’s enhanced raft behaviours and a brand-new upcoming theme, to the release of Elite Dangerous: Trailblazers and more content coming to Planet Zoo and F1 Manager 2024!

Planet Coaster 2
Game Director Rich Newbold and Senior Executive Producer Adam Woods applied their sunscreen and returned to the sofa alongside Arthur to talk all things Update 3! Starting by revealing an updated roadmap of upcoming features, the pair then confirmed that Update 3 will be available for all players on Thursday 20th March.
The dynamic duo then took viewers through a first live look at Update 1.3 gameplay. From editing parks from the Career mode in sandbox, to management changes, custom media changes and the new waterpark enhancements, Update 1.3 offers players more control and more creativity!
Players also got their first look at the Western theme, returning to Planet Coaster 2 and including more than 350 pieces from Planet Coaster.

Planet Zoo
It’s a new year, and with that comes a new bundle for Planet Zoo: Console Edition players, as the Oceania and Eurasia Bundle arrives on 26 March. Zookeepers can look forward to over 200 new scenery pieces and two additional scenarios alongside welcoming thirteen new animals, including the Wolverine, Sloth Bear, North Island Brown Kiwi and the Eurasian Lynx!
That’s not all though, as the segment closed with a reminder to PC players that they might want to tune in next month…
F1 Manager 2024
Update 1.11 has dropped for F1 Manager 24, bringing with it a whole host of new features. It's the series’ biggest update yet and includes a brand-new ability to customise seasons in Create-A-Team mode. This new feature enables Team Principals to extend some of the customisation options of Create-A-Team to the entire grid, move existing drivers and staff between teams, create their own drivers and staff, and more!
Additionally, players can grab two free livery DLC packs to expand their creative pallets – the classic touch of the Historical Livery Pack or the striking designs of the Abstract Livery Pack.

Elite Dangerous
Viewers joined Arthur Tolmie and Zac Cocken for a look at the exciting year ahead for Elite Dangerous, which includes four new ships, one feature rework and one brand-new feature following its’ anniversary celebration at the end of 2024. The segment started with a reminder that the Elite Dangerous: Trailblazers update deployed earlier today (26th February), introducing System Colonisation and allowing Commanders to expand the bubble of human settled space to claim their own star systems.
In ship news, players got their first look at Elite’s next new ship - The Gutamaya Corsair, a medium size multi-role ship which is built to support Supercruise Overcharge (SCO) and arrives in ARX early access in April. Whilst the Zorgon Peterson Mandalay, is available to purchase with in-game earned credits from today. Finally, Game Director Piers Jackson joined Arthur to discuss the next feature update, unveiled as Elite Dangerous: Vanguards and releasing this Summer, with more information to come in future Frontier Unlocked livestreams.
