Our Social Responsibility
As part of our social responsibility, we look for opportunities to support both our neighbours and our peers within the games industry and wider sector. We participate in local and national events that promote the video games industry and computer science, and we establish relationships with students in partner universities by contributing to courses and mentoring projects. We continue to recruit graduates and take our responsibility seriously to support and mentor our recruits.
We support charitable activities where possible, including donations to plant trees through the National Trust which also supports our environment. Through Planet Zoo, we have consistently partnered with highly acclaimed zoos and conservation charities to highlight education and support animal welfare not only in-game but also in real life. Since the game's launch in 2019, our partners have included the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park), the Shepreth Wildlife Conservation Charity (Shepreth Wildlife Park), Chester Zoo, San Diego Wildlife Alliance, and the Ecosystems Knowledge Network.
We hold a strong and positive influence on computer science education – with our President and Founder, David Braben as one of the founders of the Raspberry Pi foundation, which has enabled affordable access to computing technology across the world. Within Frontier, we continue to support future generations in their understanding of computer science and career development.
Through our continued engagement with schools and universities, we aim to inspire young people to consider a career within the games industry.
